tour of Collingswood

this is my fun video--some photos of Haddon Avenue, in Collingswood, New Jersey. I don't like how the pictures are all distorted on blip.tv, but I guess we'll talk about that in class.

Brotherhood 2.0

Many moons ago, in college, I hung out with John Green sometimes. We grew up . . .and he became a Printz-award-winning YA author. Now he's doing this project with his brother, Hank Green, called Brotherhood 2.0. The brothers have agreed not to use any textual communication for a year, and to create vlogs to one another Monday through Friday. They've inspired the creation of a community they call the Nerdfighters--active discussion in the "My Pants" forum on their site, and lots of response videos on YouTube, and best of all . . . made up funny songs. Web 2.0 at its best.

photo study: my commute home

For my photo study, I took some pictures of the things (mostly surfaces) I see on my walk/train ride home from work. This is my favorite of the photos i took: the dirty puddle, the reflection of the building, my foot in motion . . . it's nice, yes?

more on flickr

This might not surprise readers who know anything about my attention span, but flickr has replaced del.icio.us as my new favorite toy. Tonight in class we took photos of & around the SCILS building. Now SCILS isn't the most beautiful building I've ever seen . . . but I like words. So most of my photos are of words . . . but some are of the stairs, which I really like, aesthetically speaking:

scils_up

these are the up stairs.

scils_down

these are the down stairs. (and yes, I know that up/down, with stairs, is relative.)

Check out my other photos of SCILS. And if you want to see what SCILS really looks like (beyond stairs and words), see more photos of SCILS here.

check out my arty photos

on flickr . . . so fun!
